Did You Sign Up for the 5K Yet?

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation is sponsoring its first annual "Run for Education 5K".  A 100% of the profits will go directly back to the students and teachers in the CWC school district.

The Education Foundation is a non-profit 501C (3) tax exempt charitable organization that provides additional funding, resources and grants to assist teachers and students throughout the Caldwell-West Caldwell Public School District, including all four of the elementary schools (Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington and Wilson), the middle school (GCMS) and high school (JCHS). Registration for the 2015 Summer Arts and Sciences programs is now open! Visit the website for complete information, including new classes in Chinese, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and more! Registration is Friday, June 26, and classes begin June 29. Also available, Summer Art Studio for High School Students. Discount for early registration! Out-of-town residents welcome!
 

Jazz And All that Jazz!
 
Looking for an enjoyable night out? How about an evening of cool jazz? The Caldwell-West Caldwell School District Jazz Spectacular, featuring our 6th and 7/8 Grade Jazz Bands along with the JCHS Jazz Band and Jazz Chorus, will take place on Tuesday, April 21st, in the JCHS Cafeteria. Admission is free and ALL are welcome! We hope to see you there.
 
 

Autism April is Autism Awareness Month
 
April is Autism Awareness Month and in recognition, the school district wants to share some key facts about autism in order to foster greater collective understanding.

* Autism now touches one in every 46 children in New Jersey.
* The prevalence of autism in children continues to grow.
* Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder in the United States.
* The cost to support a child with autism is high and costs the average family about $60,000 per year.
* Boys are five times more likely than girls to have autism.
* There is no medical detection or `cure for autism.

doctor Athletic Physical Forms for 2015-2016 School Year

Current and soon-to-be high school students: Don't wait until summer to get your physical forms completed. If you have a well-visit check coming up, bring the packet to your physician now. Forms completed now are valid for the 2015-2016 school year. Stop by the high school nurse's office to pick up a printed copy of the forms. Contact school nurse Danielle Ciccaglione with any questions.
