An unexcused absence is when you are in school; you do not show up at the lesson and make no effort to contact me after the lesson to explain the circumstances.

Partially excused absence is when you forget to show up at a lesson and make the effort to explain the circumstances. Two partially excused absences are equal to one unexcused absence.

Excused absences are when you are not in school that day or you have a presentation or test in the class you have your lesson. If you have a presentation or test, you still need to contact me that day explaining the circumstances or it will be marked as a partially excused absence.
