To assist students who demonstrate at-risk behaviors, a multi-disciplinary team is established in each building representing services such as health, counseling, child study, teaching, and administrative.
After identification of learning behavior or health difficulty of students, the school team collects information, and develops and implements an action plan of intervention. Parents play an active role in the development and implementation of intervention and referral services action plans.
Action plans are reviewed and assessed for effectiveness on a periodic basis. If the initial interventions are ineffective, then alternative strategies will be considered including referral for evaluation by the Child Study Team.
